Mission statement  -  :Providing an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness.

The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America--incorporated on February 8, 1910, and chartered by Congress in 1916--is to provide an educational program for boys and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. 
 

Our services - The Sioux Council continues its proud heritage of serving community organizations across the 61 counties that comprise our service area. More than 16,000 youth participate in the Scouting and Learning for Life programs provided by nearly 4,000 dedicated volunteer leaders. 

Lewis & Clark Trail District includes; Bon Homme, Charles Mix, Clay, Douglas, Hutchinson (Southern 1/2), Turner (Southern 1/2), Union (Northern 3/4), Yankton in South Dakota

  • Boy Scout Program (ages 11-17)
  • Venturing Program (ages 14-21)
  • Soccer and Scouting
  • Exploring Program
  • Learning for Life Program
  • Order of the Arrow
  • Cub Scout Day Camp
