Our services - With compassion and empathy, we provide relief and short term needs to victims of disaster by providing food, clothing, lodging, prescription medicines and more, based on each individual disaster. Our role is to provide immediate, short-term relief to those who have suffered from a natural or man-caused disaster. In addition, we can offer mental health counseling to victims who need that service.
All of these services are free to the victims. We are the only agency the US military will recognize in order for a dependent to get a message to a military member regarding an emergency back home, such as a birth, death or serious illness through our Services to Armed Forces (SAF) program. The Red Cross must verify the information, such as with a doctor or mortician, and relay the information to the soldier’s commanding officer, who in turn allows the soldier to call home.
Our Health and Safety programs give participants the knowledge and confidence to be able to swim safely, babysit children, prepare for emergencies and to perform life-saving techniques on another person before emergency personnel arrive.
Courses offered are CPR-Adult/Child/Infant for Community and Workplace, First Aid, Babysitter Training, Bloodborne Pathogen, Water Safety Instructor, Learn to Swim, Lifeguard Training and AED Training.
