United Way & Volunteer Services Volunteer of the Month is Pam Erickson. Pam is one of those volunteers that is hard to keep up with. Just trying to catch her to present this award and receive a little interview from her was difficult. Only because, she is always running out the door to volunteer.

Erickson volunteers with Roses Just Because each year with the last four years efforts dedicated to Hospice.  Her most passionate volunteer time is spent with the Boys and Girls Club of the Missouri River Area. Pam started out on the Just for Kids Board of Directors in 2005 as a parent representative. She helped create billing software for the program and set up the magazine sales project through the website.

Just for Kids became the Boys and Girls Club in 2009. During that time Pam helped with the long transition phase to get the Club established. She is a Director on the Boys and Girls Club Board. Pam helps with the annual fundraising events and the golf tournament. Pam is well known for her help on the computers at the club; if there is a networking problem, she is there to fix it. Pam also helps with grant proposals for additional computer equipment.

Her children Kasey and Chase help her sell raffle tickets. Both of her children have gone to Just for Kids since they were in Kindergarten. Now that her children are older, it is only fitting for her to volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club. Pam states, “Things my children are involved in, I get pretty passionate about. I want to make sure my kids have a safe place to go. “
