Mission Statement:
The mission of the United Way & Volunteer Services of Greater Yankton, Inc. is to promote and implement the philosophy of voluntary giving and services to meet local human needs through a united community effort that is designed to:
- Investigate, evaluate and establish priorities of volunteer and financial needs on an ongoing basis.
- Combine financial requirements of member agencies into a single, annual appeal for contributor support, at low costs.
- Develop and assure effective and efficient use of volunteers, campaign and external financial resources.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. United Way & Volunteer Services of Greater Yankton conducts an annual fund raising campaign and recruit volunteers for community-wide placement. Together, we and the community collaborate to address human service issues.
