Overview: United Way of Greater Yankton fights for the education, financial stability and health of every person in our community. United Way of Greater Yankton is seeking a motivated, reliable, and client orientated individual to execute community impact goals.

United Way’s Program Coordinator is responsible for managing and promoting internal programming and other initiatives that support United Way of Greater Yankton’s mission to change lives and improve community.

Full Time, Monday – Friday

Highlight of Responsibilities:
Maintains internal community impact programming such as Big Friend Little Friend, The Clothing Closet, Delta Dental Mobile Program, Imagination Library, Stuff the Bus, SPARK
Maintains all program databases, project evaluation and impact reporting
Develops strategies to increase participation in projects and initiatives
Serves on appropriate community initiative and service committees
Assists in planning community engagement initiatives or customized projects
Assists in development of positive community relations among donors, volunteers, human service providers, business leaders and the community

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, social sciences, community organizing or a related field. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in volunteer services, community relations or project management. Requires a high level of initiative, integrity, commitment to the mission of United Way, passion for volunteerism, philanthropy and helping people in need; excellent verbal and written communication skills, creativity, knowledge of local non-profit human services, volunteer coordination, and skills in consensus building and collaboration.
